I have been here a couple of times already, and have enjoyed each visit. The guy at the front counter was also very friendly and knowledgable about the items on the menu. I usually get my meal to-go, but there are a few tables inside this establishment. I normally get the Wagyu Beef Shawarma which sits on top of basmati rice, and a side of tabouli salad, pita bread, and hummus. The beef had a good amount of flavor. They drizzled it with garlic paste which I got extra on the side. The basmati rice had a turmeric flavor and overall enjoyable. I also really liked the tabouli salad. I could really taste the acidity in it and it is not dry like other places. They also serve freshly churned gelato which tasted delightful. There were different flavors on each of my visit. For now, this will be my go-to spot for shawarma!
This location is in El Cajon, it has been open for 7 months when I visited this storefront. I was so fortunate to get the opportunity to try the wonderful food here from a Yelp Elite event. Believe me all hype is real! The store front was immaculate especially the restroom. The staff was on point! The was served fresh & hot - so tasty. I got a Wagyu Combo bomb diggity!
First time here and everything was great. The staff were very friendly and the food was really good. Will definitely come back to try other items.
Got the chicken shawarma plate and everything with it was absolutely delicious! Great customer service as well :)
This was my first time trying their brick and mortar store (after trying the food truck in South Park several times). I would say the food is consistent with the truck and that it's delicious. I always enjoy the chicken and beef plate, on this occasion I tried it with the jalapeño hummus and the Iraqi salad. For dessert I tried the salted caramel gelato and wow, I think I liked it even better than my dinner! The service was great and the atmosphere casual. Definitely recommend!
I was trying to remember if I had eaten at this place before. It didn't click with me until I passed this place on Jackson Drive. The sign was the same as the one on the famous food truck in South Park. I drove way past the entrance into the lot in front of the place so I had to double back and enter through the lot of the apartment complex next door. The place is immaculately clean inside, as if the restaurant hadn't been open yet. But I like that it's really clean and new. The interior space is a bit on the small side, but there weren't a lot of people inside when I ate there so it wasn't too bad. I ordered a beef and chicken shawarma plate with fries. Next time, I'm gonna axe the fries. They were VERY salty. Otherwise, the plate was very good. The garlic paste on the side helped add some more flavor to the rice and meat. The pita bread slices were a little softer for my preference but they were good too. All in all, a solid meal.
I've heard so many good things about this place and I was looking forward to checking it out myself. There's a small parking lot and thankfully it wasn't busy when I went there, although there was a lot of online/phone order pick ups which is a great sign for a business! I ordered a chicken and beef plate, which came with rice, tabouli, hummus, and pita. There was a generous portion and it was a great way to sample the two main proteins they serve. The hummus was smooth and creamy and the tabouli was some of the best I've had - I don't normally eat it as the parsley is usually too rough and overpowering, but this was finely diced and the herb was a complimentary flavor, not a distracting focus. I also ordered the chicken egg rolls, which were HUGE and freshly fried. The inside was stuffed with well-marinated juicy chicken drizzled with garlic sauce. Oh boy was that delicious. I'm very impressed with this place and I look forward to coming back and trying something else, like their falafel!
The food tasted delicious and the service was even better! I look forward to coming here again for lunch.
Amazing food! Awesome service! Get the Greek salad with chicken shawarma 10/10. Bonus is the churning gelato for dessert.
